Don’t forget to warm up with some easy exercises or mild stretching before you do any physical activity.

The benefit of stretching has been debated for many years. Some believe that when performing full range of motion exercises you will stretch the muscles adequately. I personally believe that you need to spend at least 15 minutes per day about 3 to 5 times per week stretching in addition to going through the proper full range of motion. Most of exercises are designed to shorten and strengthen muscles it only make sense to maintain flexibility you need to practice a balanced approach to your program. Also as we age the mobility and the bodies range of motion is limited, but it does not have to be that way as long as we continue to work on those stretches.
